Hair transplants can really help you to rebuild self-confidence, especially if your hair starts to thin rather early on. As reported in The Mirror recently a man has had a hair transplant and he has seen a huge increase of matches on his Tinder profile. He has seen a 75% increase in matches since his hair transplant. He has gone from seeing 116 matches from women to 203 matches since having a full head of hair. He set up 2 Tinder profiles. One with a picture of him with a receding hairline and one with a full head of hair. Both had a similar message on the profiles.
He believed that “hair transplants were for older men or rich footballers.” However, it got to the point where his “thinning hair was really affecting” his self-esteem and confidence, and surgery then became an option he was seriously considering.
He isn’t surprised that women are more interested in men with fuller heads of hair. He compares it to how “men may choose blondes over brunettes”.
Tinder Experiment
He conducted his experiment over 10 days. It follows statistics from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons that reveal the number of men undergoing plastic surgery has more than doubled in the past decade, rising from 2,440 in 2005 to 4,614 in 2015.
Dr Bessam Farjo, who carried out the surgery at his Manchester-based clinic, is keen to help remove any stigma surrounding hair transplants in younger men. Removing beliefs similar to the patients that hair transplants are only for older men and footballers. He said: “Hair transplants are often associated with 50-something men who want to recapture their youth and look good as they age.
“Of course, this may be the case for many patients, but we’re seeing a steady increase in younger men – often in their late 20s – coming forward to find out more.”
Hair transplants are becoming ever more popular with younger men and this recent small experiment shows that it can help boost your confidence and self-esteem, as well as make you more popular with the opposite sex. Don’t be put off by the stigma that is attached to hair transplants. Consider one for yourself today.
