Our services in Liverpool

Hair transplant and hair loss services in Liverpool

From surgical hair transplants to non-surgical therapies, our Liverpool clinic offers a full range of treatments. The right option is decided at your free consultation, and we will always be honest about which will give you the best result.

FUE & FUT hair transplants, done to a UK medical standard

We focus on getting a small number of things right. Both FUE, follicular unit extraction, and FUT, follicular unit transplantation with trichophytic donor closure, are carried out in full surgical facilities, and the technique is matched to your donor area rather than to a sales target.

Patient safety and satisfaction come first. We limit how many procedures we take on each day, so you have the time and space to talk through your options, whether that is deciding between FUE and FUT or treating a case of female pattern hair loss.

Our clinics are registered with the Care Quality Commission and our surgeons are registered with the General Medical Council. It is the same standard of oversight you would expect from the NHS, applied to hair restoration.

Every journey starts with a free, no-obligation consultation. We map your hair loss pattern, measure the density of your donor area and talk you through realistic expectations before anyone mentions a price. If surgery is the right route we will plan it around your goals, and if it is not we will tell you honestly and point you towards a treatment that is.

Aftercare matters as much as the procedure itself. Because our clinics are spread right across the UK you can attend your follow-up appointments in person rather than managing recovery alone, and our team stays in touch throughout the first year to make sure your results are developing exactly as they should.

    Cost guide

    Understanding hair transplant Liverpool cost

If you are considering a hair transplant in Liverpool, understanding the cost is an important part of making an informed decision. A hair transplant procedure involves the surgical relocation of healthy hair follicles from a donor area to the area experiencing hair loss or thinning. It is a specialised procedure that requires expertise and precision to achieve natural looking results, and several factors influence the final price.

    1
The extent of your hair loss

The level of hair loss determines the number of grafts required, which directly influences the overall cost of your hair transplant in Liverpool.

    2
    The technique used

FUT and FUE hair transplants have different costs associated with them. The right technique depends on your donor area and the result you want.

    3
    The surgeon and clinic

Experienced, GMC registered surgeons and a CQC registered clinic with quality facilities and proper aftercare all contribute to the price.

    4
    Your personalised plan

The number of grafts, sessions and any combined treatments are tailored to you, so your quote reflects your specific requirements.

Customised treatment plans and long term value

Every individual’s hair loss is unique, so a professional hair transplant Liverpool clinic will create a tailored treatment plan for your specific needs. During your consultation a specialist assesses your hair loss pattern, density and goals, then provides an accurate quote based on your requirements. While the cost is an investment, it is worth weighing against the value it brings to your confidence and wellbeing, with natural looking, long lasting results. We also offer a range of pay monthly finance options, so you can spread the cost in a way that suits you.

You can spread the cost over 12 to 60 months, with payments ranging from £50 to £200 per month depending on how much you want to pay and how quickly you want the agreement to finish. There are no hidden fees. The quote you are given after your assessment is the price you pay, it includes your aftercare and products, and it is covered by our price match guarantee.

    Hair transplant Liverpool FAQs

Where is your Liverpool hair transplant clinic?

Our Liverpool clinic is at 5 St Pauls Square, Liverpool, Merseyside, L3 9SJ. It is easy to reach from Moorfields and Lime Street stations, with parking and taxis nearby.

Am I a suitable candidate for a hair transplant in Liverpool?

Only around 40% of the people we assess are suitable for surgery. We measure your donor density and map the loss pattern, and we will tell you plainly if a transplant is not right for you. Donor density naturally changes with age, ranging from around 615 follicles per square centimetre in your twenties to roughly 435 by your eighties, so an honest assessment matters.

How much does a hair transplant in Liverpool cost?

Most hair transplants cost between £3,000 and £7,000. What you pay depends on how many grafts you need, which is why we give you a firm number after your assessment rather than over the phone. Payment plans run from £70 a month over 12 to 60 months, and payments can range from £50 to £200 per month depending on how much you want to pay and how quickly you want the agreement to finish. If surgery is not the right answer for you, non-surgical treatment starts from £300. Every treatment comes with a price match guarantee, and you can save up to £2,000 subject to limited availability.

What is the difference between FUE and FUT?

Both techniques are offered at our Liverpool clinic. FUE, or follicular unit extraction, leaves no linear scar, while FUT, or follicular unit transplantation, uses a trichophytic donor closure and can yield more grafts in a single session. Your donor area and your goals decide which suits you best.

How are you different to a clinic abroad?

We are CQC registered and regulated, the same body that inspects the NHS. You get UK surgical care, aftercare you can attend in person at our Liverpool clinic, and a guarantee with your treatment. You are not left to manage recovery alone in a different country.

    Hair loss myths and facts

    The truth about hair loss

There is a lot of misinformation about hair loss. Here we separate the myths from the facts so you can make an informed decision about your hair transplant in Liverpool.

True. Styles that put tension on the hairs, such as tight ponytails, plaits or cornrows, can cause hair loss. Winding hair tightly onto rollers, particularly heated rollers, can have the same damaging effect.

False. Hair dyes, perms and hairsprays do not affect thinning hair. Perms and hairsprays can help to disguise the problem.

True, if not done properly. If the hair extensions are too tight, they can pull on the hairs and cause bald patches, which in severe cases could be permanent.

False. A tendency to baldness is inherited and probably involves a combination of genes, so you are not automatically in the clear even if your father has a full head of hair. It is not true, as sometimes claimed, that only genes from the mother side are involved.

False. Vigorous brushing is more likely to injure the hairs and make the problem worse.

True. Scientists have identified chemicals produced in the body during periods of stress which can affect hair growth (Journal of Investigative Dermatology 2004;123:455-7).

False. Shampooing simply gets rid of the hairs that have already fallen out.

True. A person aged 20 to 30 typically has 615 hair follicles per square centimetre. The number falls to 485 by 50 years of age and to 435 at 80 to 90 years of age. Each hair is also thinner, so with ageing hair becomes both finer and sparser.

True. Extreme heat damages the proteins in the hairs, making them fragile and liable to break off. Careless use of heated brushes or straighteners can even burn the scalp, so that the hair follicles are permanently damaged in that area.

False. Protein-containing conditioners only temporarily fill in defects on the surface of the hair shaft, making it smoother and thicker.

Transplanted hair behaves in a similar way to the hair where it was taken from. It will last a lifetime for most people when the procedure is done correctly. We simply re-distribute existing permanent hair to your thin areas. Sometimes in old age one may experience thinning throughout the donor area, and if this happens the transplanted hair will follow suit.

The art of a hair transplant is to conceal the scars. When performed by skilled surgeons, the results will only be detected by thorough expert medical examination. The donor site will have a very fine scar hidden by your hair, and trichophytic donor closure now renders donor scars extremely difficult to detect even with no covering hair.
