    Hair Growth Products

There are plenty of hair products out there that are aimed at reducing the effects of thinning hair in women and hair loss in men. From stimulants to encourage hair growth to solutions that try to thicken the hair that is left. A lot of the time for female patients we start with products as hair transplants can only be done in areas where the hair has been completely lost, most of the time with women it has only thinned not gone completely, so we start with thickening products first.

Our team will be able to guide you in the right direction of what products are the best out there.

    Hair Replacement Treatments

Not only have we helped countless males restore their hair back to normal but we have also dealt with many women’s hair problems. If it is a high hairline you are concerned about then a hair transplant will be an option no question. However if your hair is just thinning we would need to see you for a consultation to see if there is any space to do a hair transplant without damaging your surrounding hairs.

It may not be advertised as much but the routines are exactly the same, and so are the results – overcoming hair loss and restoring female confidence levels.

If you’re a woman and want to fix your thinning hair, get in touch with UK Hair and our team of experts will provide a free and confidential hair loss consultation.

    Success Rate

For women the technique that is usually FUT the success rate is 97%. If the transplant doesn’t take then it can be that there is an underlying issue so we would recommend seeing your GP and a dermatologist before we do another treatment to honour the guarantee.

    Genetics

Unfortunately for women, the reason for hair loss can be a large number of things. For men, it is purely male pattern baldness. For women, it can be thyroid, stress, hormones, postpartum, alopecia, using heat products or even just from tight hairstyles like braids or ponytails.

    Cost

The best part about female hair loss is it can often be fixed with non-surgical solutions which means it is cheaper. Non-surgical solutions start from just £25 a month. If it is deemed that you need a hair transplant then prices range from £3000 to £6000 depending on the number of grafts.

    Treatment Time

Treatment time is dependent on the size of the case and the procedure chosen. The consultation in the morning of the procedure takes around 30 minutes and then the treatment time is around 5 to 6 hours. You will then have a 30-minute discharge with the surgeon with an aftercare letter.

What Are The Benefits Of The Female Hair Treatments

How long after treatment can I start to style my hair again?

You can tie your hair up straight away. Heat products like straighteners, hair dryers and curlers are 2 weeks after surgery. Hair spray can’t be used for 4 weeks after treatment as it can block the pores and cause ingrown hairs.

If I am recommended non-surgical solutions how long do I use them for?

You need to use the non-surgical solutions as long as you are concerned about your hair. The products only work whilst you are using them so if you stop them at any point your hair will start to revert to how it was before.

How long does it take to see results fro a hair transplant?

It will take 6-12 months to be able to see the hairs grow and be able to get the image of thickness. We can’t guess how long it takes for your hair to match your current hair as it depends on how long that is and how quickly your hair grows.

How long do I need to take off work?

We recommend a 2 week recovery period. You can return to work after 1 week for office jobs but for the appearance of surgery to disappear it can take 2 weeks. The surgeon can write you a note for work if needed.

    Pricing And Finance Options

We know the cost of a hair transplant can be daunting. We offer regular promotions to customers that have been for consultations, you just have to attend one to be in the with a chance of hearing about them.

Another way to pay is to pay in monthly instalments; you can spread the cost over 12 to 60 months. The payments range from £50 to £200 per month, depending on the amount you want to pay and how quickly you want the agreement to finish. If you chose this option after your consultation one of our advisors will talk you through the steps and help you pick the plan best for you.
